It’s Friday afternoon again (the weeks are zooming by)!
How’s the jobhunt/ setting up your new venture going?
If it’s a replacement job you’re looking for and some of the suggestions here are already pushing at the boundaries of your comfort zone here’s something that’s definitely not for the faint-hearted. But, boy, what pzazz and what results!
You’ll get the most by going to Susan hires a BOSS (the title’s a BIT of a giveaway…) and investing time reading the posts there.
She’s taken what we’ve said here and expand on in our book (you’ll see it to the right on this page) about uncovering hidden jobs/ creating your own role and added her own unique spin – and it’s worked for her within two months!
- No more 300-applicants-chasing-the-same-job (whilst knowing that the best jobs AREN’T ADVERTISED)
- No sending out résumés
She knew what she had to offer, the type of people and the kind of company she wanted to work with.
And she went for it.
She found a way to be creative that ‘fits’ her personality and met her needs: To get the best job she could, doing what she loves with people she likes.
Will you?
Job hunting right now? Inspiration starts right HERE

Linda
I read your book a couple of weeks ago becuase I was so frustrated about my lack of progress in getting back into work.
The main thing I took from the book was that applying for jobs the traditional way was not the best option – it certainly didn’t work for me!
I decided to seek out people I liked and respected and who had businesses I was interested in. I arranged three meetings over the last week and I am very encouraged to report that all three of the meetings resulted in the guys I met wanting to work with me.
I have one company who told me they had loads of stuff I can help them with – I just need to tell them what bits I like the sound of and they are going to create a job for me!!
The other two meetings were with business men who were taking new businesses to market and who thought there would be opportunities for me to get involved. Although these are a bit more long term they are exciting opportunities and I really have been blown away by the fact that there is work out there if you approach the right people in the right way.
If anyone else feels like they are runnning out of options, talk to Linda and find out how to create opportunities for yourself! I would never have believed that the results would have come so quickly!
Thanks Linda
